Mcneil Consumer Healthcare 1996 – Current · Performed the role of architect for the implementation of SAP R/3. Included duties of hardware specification and infrastructure planning, installation and configuration of HPUX operating system, Oracle, and SAP basis. Most recently assisting in implementing SAP R3 workplace and ITS servers. · Working closely with company quality control and other resources to maintain systems within compliance with FDA good manufacturing practices and computer system validation. Includes creating and maintain validation plans and protocols. · Primarily responsible for implementation, configuration, of company wide backup and disaster recovery plan. · Developed, managed and implemented strategic for multi-platform systems to access shared storage and backup using SAN technology. · Installed and configured HP Openview Network Node Manager and VantagePoint Operations to manage networks and systems across multiple facilities · Performed multiple operating system, Oracle, and SAP R/3 upgrades and assisted in implement additional modules including an ongoing effort to implement MySAP.com and SAP web implementation. · Supported the IP address change over , configured the servers for new IP addresses and ran tests for successful change over.

Orion Systems Inc 1996 – Current · Key member of a team to implement a Zero-downtime NT based client server solution for government communication switch control. Duties include initial system design, data evaluation and database design, server and network product recommendation and implementation, and design and programming of a Microsoft Open data services / Visual C++ server to provide database replication control switch communications over TCP/IP and serial communication channels. · Primarily responsible for implementation, configuration, capacity planning, recoverability and performance management for NT servers based in a Vinca clusters distributed to various Air bases worldwide. · Currently porting the legacy SQL server/Open Data Services/Powerbuilder application to Java using Jrun and Jboss servers. Programming includes C and C++ Java with heavy emphasis on Java Native Interface to communicate with switch hardware.

Columbia National Mortgage 2000 – Current · Performed designed disk layout and RAID configuration and performed data port from JBOD to an FC60 array,. · Implementing HP High Availability Solutions for Progress, and other Back office Applications using HP MC/ServiceGuard.

Given Capital 2001 · Assisted in the development of an Oracle standby server configuration, EMC Symmeterix and Power Path configuration on Solaris operating system. · Assisted in the creation of a disaster recovery plan.

Rosenbluth Travel (Biztravel.com) 2001 · Assisted client of large travel planning website to port their Informix database between two HP servers. · Performed the duties of DBA to assist in bring the site live and correct performance and stability problems. · Assisted in development of backup and recovery strategy for HP, Sun and NT servers.

TRW 2000 – 2001 · Developed an HP High Availability solution for Oracle Parallel Server including implementation of OPS Failsafe operation across 2 N class HP servers. · Performed system configuration and eventual upgrade of SAP system to version 4.6c.

Northrup Grummen 2000 – 2001 · Created design for port of manufacturing CAD objects from optical storage to HP disk storage XP256. Includes disk and filesystem design, HFS cache configuration and overall technical lead in the actual implimentation. · Lead Architect for designing and implementing HP High Availability Solutions for various Oracle, Web, and Back office Applications. HP MC/ServiceGuard along with various HP 9000 servers were used as the High Availability solution.

UUNET/Worldcom 2000 - 2001 · Installed and configured HP Openview VantagePoint Operations and Vantage Point Performance on Sun platforms to manage operations of netscape iPlanet, Broadvision, Weblogics and other associated website systems.

Fleet Bank 2000 · As a member of an HP consulting team created a large HP MC/Serviveguard cluster to protect the bank’s customer information system (pega systems). Worked closely with team to develop EMC Symmetrix configuration including BCVs for online backup and volume group configuration. Duties included hardware design and implementation, writing scripts to control a detailed cluster, and network configuration.

Wheaton Glass 1999 – 2000 · Assisted in the design of future SAP infrastructures and high availability configuration for multi R3 system operation.

Armstrong World 1999 · Performed port from IBM Netview to HP Openview Network Node Manager for a large global manufacturing firm. Included mapping and network configuration, SNMP trapping, configuring event notifications and reporting capabilities.

RR Donnelly 1996-1999 · Assisted in the initial implementation of EMC Symmetrix and high availability solutions for a national print and business management operation. Duties included initial sym configuration and operating system layout. Configuration design and implementation of MC/Serviceguard cluster . · Assisted in the initial planning and configuration of output management within client using Dazel. · Assisted in configuration and troubleshooting of Openview Operations (ITO).

Talk.com (formally Telsave) 1996-1997 · Install and configured many HP K and V series servers · Install and assist in configuration of Informix databases · Install and configured MS /Serviceguard clusters.

Keystone Foods 1996 · Primary duty was to establish a backup and recovery strategy and implement HP Openview Omniback.

PNI 1995 · Assisted an insurance corporation with extreme performance issues and general data warehousing concerns for an implementation of Holos and Sybase. Included database and shared structure redefinition and system hardware platform recommendations. Has subsequently assisted other companies in a pre-sales/configuration capacity to avoid this situation.

SAP America 1994-1995 · Performed key roles in the introduction of SAP System R/3 running under the Informix and SQL Server Database system. Included introduction of Basis consultant and customer education and product knowledge transfer. Assisted in the initial Hot Line and secondary support infrastructure development for Informix and other database products. Assisted in the initial upgrades of version 2.2D to 3.0A. · Assisted SAP’s Earlywatch and Critical Account Task force (C AT) in issue resolution with large customers. Included many visits with the system R/3 developers in Waldorf Germany and many hours of work with Basis ABAP/4 programs and the DB/IF layer of R/3. · Provided integration assistance for the R/3 and Database systems for customers. Assisted vendor and Basis consultants in functionality and performance problem resolution. This includes hardware and network setup requirement specification and setup assistance (best model, how much and types of disk, configuration, etc).

Campbell Soup 1993 - 1994 · Provided Database administration services and assistance in conversion from OS2 based servers to Windows NT SQL Server for a large Camden NJ. Based food product Company. Also assisted in integration of Lotus Notes product for sales force automation, this initiative included communications and database design for both notes and SQL Server.

AMP 1993 · Working with a Fortune 200 electronic component manufacturer, assisted in the planning and implementation of an enterprise wide Microsoft NT environment. The infrastructure required the integration of UNIX (Sun OS, HP-UX), MVS, VM, and Novel. Provided recommendations and evaluated third party connectivity products. Implemented initial standard naming conventions, operating policies, and controls. Reviewed configurations for the implementation of Oracle 7.0, SQL*Plus, SQL*Net, and SNA connectivity.

MBNA America 1989 - 1993 · Systems Architect for the design and implementation of Sybase Replication and Omni Servers for a major financial institution. Developed a distributed database and reporting environment that encompasses 35 hosts and 1,500+ concurrent online users in 6 remote sites. This effort involved multi-gigabyte databases and was implemented in C using Sybase DB-Library and RPC calls under HP-UX.

· Responsible for database design, installation, space allocation, and administration of seven Sybase SQL Servers. Instrumental in the design, programming, and implementation of the distributed Open Server model. Tuned performance and reviewed all SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers. Engineered and produced Sybase Open Server to allow access to multi-vendor/protocol data, specifically Sybase, Informix, and LU 6.2 access to mainframe.

· As Lead Programmer for a bank assignment, designed and initially coded a front end data entry system to support a growing number of applications, including telemarketing and 1-800 access credit card application acquisition efforts. Designed telemarketing management and data processing center to manage in excess of 20 million online leads and process 3 to 5 million additional leads per day. This system includes tape and vendor dial-up access as well as internally and externally driven credit application processing. Also designed and implemented a credit card fraud reduction system that integrates an outbound calling system with a central pool of leads with access from several remote sites. The system established true peer-to-peer interaction with CICS transactions on a mainframe.

· Developed a UNIX transaction-processing monitor for a national bank to allow management of single resources, such as LU connections and different databases and systems. Provided a comprehensive and robust set of inter-process communication management tools and libraries. Assisted in the development and coding of a curses/C-based data entry and menu system. Also assisted in the development of a UNIX database user access control system to ease the burden of managing system and database permissions, logins, and password management; further adapted software to encompass multiple distributed sites. Provided credit lenders with the ability to request and view online credit report from the three major credit bureaus, including intercepting and scoring credit reports.

US Army 1978 -1989 · Administered two networks of Intel UNIX servers by doing Standard Administrating Tasks. The first is a production system with a Primary Server and a Hot backup server in another building, running Informix and the primary application. Wrote papers on security for our auditors, application failover procedures, and other technical papers describing our system setup to technical and non-technical people.

· For the U.S. Army, designed and implemented local and wide area networks comprising more than 100 PCs distributed throughout Germany and the Netherlands. Designed and wrote programs in dBase and C. Created and exported a program for reporting and trend analysis, and implemented wide area dial-up access.
